We’re very excited about a new feature in Textbroker: TeamOrders.
TeamOrders are a hybrid of Direct and OpenOrders. Orders go to a specific team of writers that you select, not our general pool, at a price that you set. When a Team member chooses the order, only that author completes it. If the author doesn’t complete on time, the order goes back to your Team and another Team member can complete the assignment.
This system combines the exclusiveness of DirectOrders without the complications that can come up when depending on one person. We hope that this will result in fast turnaround at high quality for you.
Now that we have the general concept, let’s get in to the details.
Creating a Team
You can build a Team from authors that you like. If you’re already using DirectOrders, you can put your favorites authors in a Team. Then all authors in the Team have access to the same orders.
You can make your Team available for authors to spontaneously apply in a casting call, which minimizes search time for authors; you let authors come to you! Alternatively, you can invite specific authors to your Team.
Setting The Price
You set the price per word for the Team. Our price slider starts at the DirectOrder minimum of 1.95 cents per word. We’re happy to adjust the upper end of the scale. Please note that the authors earn a little less than the price you set because the per-word price includes Textbroker’s commission. The 30-cent ordering fee applies to TeamOrders. The price will apply to all authors on the Team, regardless of that particular author’s DirectOrder price. The price will also apply to all orders placed to that Team. You can change the price at any time, but changes will only apply to new orders. Changing the Team price will not alter orders that are currently available to Team members.
Team Applications and Conditions
You can screen your authors for all types of Teams. You can create an application that the author has to complete. The application can be a subject-based test, a request for an author’s history or education on the subject, or anything you like.
You can add special conditions, like a non-disclosure request or the requirement that all your items will be published with your name, to your Teams. Authors must agree to your conditions to be part of the Team. All conditions must not conflict with Textbroker’s Terms of Service and any US laws. Conditions that require a certain race or gender are not acceptable. Conditions that require a specific voice or tone are perfectly acceptable.
If an author does not agree to the conditions, they cannot see the TeamOrders. You can still send the author DirectOrders and the author can choose any OpenOrders you may have available.
